Bollards (protection posts) are used to help keep other more critical objects from being struck by vehicles. EPS bollards are made of 3” Schedule 40 steel pipe, which has a wall thickness of .216” and an outside diameter of 3.5”. Each bollard includes a welded baseplate and baseplate cover, although bollards which are to be buried can be ordered without either. The top can have a welded dome cap or be left open for filling with concrete. One or two chain loops can be provided for linking bollards together in traffic control applications.
Bollards are sand-blasted, zinc-plated and given two layers of powder coat for enhanced rust resistance. Standard color is white. See page 16 for other colors.
